Associated Food Stores Goes to Washington
Grocery Wholesaler brings Utah products to the Capital for a special Pioneer Day event

Salt Lake City, UT (July 28, 2017) Associated Food Stores shared a taste of Utah with representatives in Washington D.C on July 25. The grocery wholesaler teamed up with Zions Bank and Senator Mike Lee to host a special Pioneer Day Reception for state representatives and other officials in Washington D.C. The reception showcased the great products that come from the Beehive state including Beehive Cheese, Norbest turkey, Red Button Vintage Creamery ice cream and award-winning Beehive Bread and Pastry Co. galettes.

“The Pioneer Day Reception was a great way for us to show how amazing Utah products are and what our producers and growers are literally bringing to the table,” said Ryan Barnes, deli director for Associated Food Stores, and one of the organizers for the event. “We are grateful to Senator Lee and his staff for this opportunity and know that everyone there loved it.”

Associated Food Stores works with over 50 Utah vendors and farmers to bring Utah-made and grown products to grocery stores across eight Intermountain states. These products receive specific “local” tags and signs to make locating them in the aisles easier. To learn more about Associated Food Stores or to become a local vendor, visit www.afstores.com.
