Associated Food Stores was presented with a Legacy of Excellence Award on behalf of the Murray Area Chamber of Commerce and SelectHealth on October 1 at a special gala. The award honors local businesses which make a positive impact on the community through their commitment to public outreach and values-oriented business practices.
The award states that, “Associated Foods’ focus on working hand-in-hand with local producers and artisans not only provides communities throughout the Intermountain West with high-quality foods and services, but also improves the economies of those communities, enriching local businesses and improving the health and well-being of those they serve. Their respect for, and commitment to, their employees and retailers has left a deeply moving impression on SelectHealth.”
Darin Peirce, senior vice president and president of Associated Retail Operations, attended the event and accepted the award on behalf of the company.
“It was an honor to attend and accept this prestigious award on behalf of the thousands of team members and member retailers of Associated Food Stores,” said Darin. “We appreciate the Murray Area Chamber of Commerce and SelectHealth for nominating us and look forward to continued collaboration as we continue serving our communities.”
The annual gala benefitted the Murray Children’s Pantry, Yellow for Life and Elevated Mountain Guides.
