Last weekend, the Davis Conference Center was abuzz with excitement and camaraderie as the Farr West Distribution Center team hosted its annual Driver Appreciation Banquet. This highly anticipated event brought together drivers, their guests, leaders from the transportation teams and key figures from the organization. With Wayne Kinder, transportation manager, at the helm as the main host and MC, the evening was filled with memorable moments, insightful presentations, and heartfelt expressions of gratitude.

The banquet kicked off with a warm welcome from Wayne, setting the stage for an evening of celebration and recognition. Wayne then guided the audience through a captivating Built to Build presentation, offering valuable insights into the distribution center’s transportation strategy for 2024. As the audience eagerly listened, Wayne shared the team’s vision for the future, highlighting key initiatives and goals aimed at driving continued success.

Amidst the strategic discussions, the group also took a nostalgic journey down memory lane, sharing heartwarming photographs from the past. These snapshots served as a poignant reminder of AFS drivers’ rich history and the remarkable ride they have undertaken over the years.

Other insightful presentations added to the evening, including a Project ROAR update from Justin Johnson, director of logistics and transportation. These presentations underscored the organization’s dedication to continuous improvement and its unwavering focus on delivering exceptional service to its customers.

In a touching gesture, the evening concluded with a thoughtful gesture towards the drivers’ spouses or significant others. As a token of appreciation for their support, each partner was presented with a gift, symbolizing the distribution center’s recognition of the integral role they play in the drivers’ lives and the success of the organization.
