Recently stepping into his new role as pharmacy compliance manager, Tim Stockdale is already putting his decade of pharmacy experience to work at Associated Food Stores.
Tim’s background includes more than 10 years in pharmacy warehouse operations, retail pharmacy and administrative support. He played a key role in launching the AFS Pharmacy Warehouse in 2020 and managed it for five years. As part of this assignment, he ensured compliance across nearly 20 states.
“Tim was instrumental in launching and maintaining stringent federal drug traceability laws, ensuring full alignment with FDA and industry standards,” said Jared Memmott, director of enterprise risk management.
Before his time in warehouse operations, Stockdale led the AFS Pharmacy Help Desk, where he supported pharmacy teams and member retailers with vendor operations.
“Tim was invaluable in driving service levels which enhanced the overall experience for our pharmacy teams while managing the AFS Help Desk,” said Sam Haddadin, vice president of AFS pharmacy operations.
In his current role, Tim oversees pharmacy compliance programs, leads Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) processes and supports member retailers in meeting regulatory standards. His focus on efficiency and process improvement continues to drive AFS’ approach to compliance and operations.
Tim’s role is important to both AFS and its member retailers because pharmacy compliance helps protect everyone involved, from patients and pharmacists to the stores themselves. By overseeing regulatory programs and ensuring pharmacies meet federal and state requirements, Tim works to safeguard product integrity, maintain licensing standards and prevent potential disruptions in service. His work behind the scenes supports smooth operations and keeps AFS pharmacies and the communities they serve safe, compliant and ready to meet guests’ needs.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and fishing.
