Meet Jenny Burgess, AFS Production Control Specialist

Recently, Jenny Burgess joined Associated Food Stores (AFS) as the Production Control Specialist, replacing long-time team member Les Wilson. This is an extremely important role within the AFS retail marketing + design team. Jenny works with marketers, designers, print providers and others to facilitate their digital, print and advertising needs.

Very few jobs, if any, happen without Jenny’s coordination, input and extreme attention to detail. She starts job tickets, maintains the schedule and tracks progress of hundreds of jobs each month. Jenny is said to be the master of job tickets and the queen of organization. When guests and team members see an in-store sign, a digital banner, a brochure, poster or any other marketing materials, it’s likely Jenny contributed to the project.

“I have always appreciated Associated Food Stores for their dedication and for what they do to serve in the community,” said Jenny. I was looking for a new challenge and I can definitely help out with all your printing needs or questions. I am happy to help any way I can.”

Jenny joined AFS after working for 1-800-Contacts where she received prescriptions for contacts and eyeglasses from eye doctors and patients. She grew up in Riverton and enjoys hiking, camping, and running. She has three children and three grandchildren. When she’s not enjoying the great outdoors away from home or spending time with her grandkids, she tends to her two dogs, rabbit, and bird aviary with twenty Zebra finch and ten parakeets.

“Jenny is a great addition to the team,” said Wayne Dalton, creative services manager. “Jenny joined the team at an incredibly busy time, and we’ve thrown everything at her all at once.  She’s quickly learned the basics of the job and has even added some great improvements to the process. The way she’s started into the position, I’m excited to see what she does with the role as she continues to learn the workings of our departments.”
