Privacy by Design
Copilot Chat does not use our organizational data, prompts, or responses to train its foundation models.
When web grounding is enabled, search queries contain no user or tenant identifiers and are transmitted securely with additional contractual privacy safeguards.
Copilot only accesses organizational content when we explicitly provide it—either by including it in a prompt, uploading a file, or working within apps like Word, Excel, or Outlook where the content is already open.
