On May 15, Midway residents and visitors were invited to celebrate the grand opening of The Market at Midway, formerly known as Ridley’s Market, and its adjacent convenience store, now named Market Express at the store’s location on 42 West Main Street in Midway.
With a strong commitment to preserving the town’s unique character and meeting the evolving needs of its residents, Mike Holm and his team were excited to introduce The Market at Midway and Market Express. “As friends and neighbors, we are thrilled to be part of the Midway community,” said Holm. “Our focus is on providing top-quality groceries, exceptional service and a welcoming environment for everyone.”
The grand opening event was a festive occasion, featuring special promotions, giveaways and the opportunity to meet the dedicated team behind The Market at Midway and Market Express. Store guests received the same warm, friendly service they have come to know and love as well as exciting enhancements to elevate their shopping experience. Mike’s son-in-law, Skyler Bamgertner, is the store director. Skyler was born and raised in Heber and has worked at The Market at Park City for 10 years.
Holm expressed his enthusiasm for this new venture, stating, “I am honored to be a part of the Midway community and we will continue introducing exciting new offerings over time to meet the evolving needs of our valued customers.”
Residents of Midway can take comfort in knowing the familiar faces behind the counter and throughout the store will remain unchanged. The outstanding team of employees, who have built strong relationships with customers over the years, will continue to provide the same warm, friendly service the community has come to appreciate.
Holm has been in the grocery store business since he was 12 years old, when he sorted glass soda bottles at an independently owned store near his home. From there, Holm worked as a stocker and cashier at an Albertson’s grocery store in Utah County, eventually working his way up to store director at age 25. Later, Holm worked at Albertson’s in Park City, where he stayed for the next 22 years as manager before purchasing The Market at Park City in 2008.
