One of Associated Food Stores’ time-honored and beloved traditions is the annual Lagoon Day experience. Thousands of AFS team members and family join in a day of fun, food and friendship. AFS leadership understands the importance of the celebration and looks forward to the annual festivities with great anticipation. Here is a list of some of the most frequently-asked questions, and their answers, about this event.
Question: My guest has children that fall under the age of 18. Can I get free tickets for them?
Answer: No, you will need to purchase tickets for them. Pre-Sell tickets are for family and/or friends. Those who fall under these guidelines are friends, grown children you do not claim on your taxes, children of your guest, grandkids over 18, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, and parents.
Question: Does AFS pay for parking at the park?
Answer: No, you will need to pay for parking, and it is $20.00 per car.
Question: Can I bring a cooler, blankets, and chairs?
Answer: Yes, you can bring in those items and we have the Picinic area for the entire day where you can leave your items.
Question: Will there be extra water available?
Answer: There will be water bottles located at the picnic areas, and they will be there as long as they last. Make sure that you and your family stay hydrated.
Question: I have kids that are on my insurance and still live at home but are over 21 years old, can I get free tickets for them?
Answer: No, the free tickets are only for kids under the age of 21 that you still claim on your taxes not your insurance.
Question: Can I attend Lagoon Day on the Weekend Crew August 13th instead of Saturday August 10th?
Answer: Yes, you can attend either day. If you choose to attend on Tuesday, make sure that you clear it with your supervisor and take it as a vacation day.
Question: We have a family vacation planned during the week of Lagoon Dates. Can I get Good Any Day Tickets instead for my family to enjoy Lagoon.
Answer: No. Good Day Tickets are only available for those that must work on Saturday and Tuesday. These requests must be approved by your supervisor.
Question: I received Good Any Day Tickets, but my family could not attend before Lagoon closed for the season. What should I do with the tickets?
Answer: Please return them to Team Services. AFS can return the tickets and get credit back for them.
Question: I ordered tickets and picked them up and now I cannot use them. Can I sell them and keep the money or give them away?
Answer: Should team members deliberately falsify their information to gain free tickets outside of the guidelines, seek to sell their tickets for personal gain or give them, it will be viewed as a violation of our core values and will result in disciplinary action. Should you order tickets and are unable to attend, please do not sell them or give them to someone else.
Question: Why do I have to purchase an all-day pass and the meal ticket through pre-sell tickets, if we are not going to be eating lunch?
Answer: Lagoon charges AFS for the meals by the number of collect and bill tickets that come through the gate. Even if you choose not to eat the lunch, we are charged for it. So, in turn we must charge you for the meal even if you choose not to eat the lunch. If you would like to purchase a day pass without the meal, then you can do that for a discount at the Lagoon web site using our discount code of 2AROE5. The cost of that ticket is $76.95 + taxes/fees. This code can be used at anytime during the season for discount tickets.
Question: I am receiving Good Any Tickets and would like to purchase discount tickets for my guests that do not qualify for the free tickets. Can I do that?
Answer: Yes, you can purchase discount tickets by going onto the Lagoon site and use the promo code of 2AROE5.
Question: Is there a code that I can use anytime during the 2025 Lagoon Season for discount tickets?
Answer: Yes, you can purchase discounted tickets throughout the 2025 Lagoon Season using the code 2AROE5.
