Khoury’s Celebrate Winterfest with Community
Each year, the town of Spring Creek, Nevada experiences a beloved tradition provided by their local grocer – Winterfest. The Khoury’s family invites the community to brave the cold and enjoy hot drinks, hot dogs, chili, a raffle benefitting the Spring Creek Future Business Leaders of America and the Spring Creek Fire Department. All proceeds are matched by the Khoury’s.
This year, the event took place on December 18 and featured food, family fun and fireworks. Local media was on hand to capture the event and video can be viewed here.
Taunia Fackrell, lead bakery and deli sales specialist, participated in the activities. “It was a magical event that the entire town is invited to attend. They have Santa and Mrs. Claus, face painting, coloring books for all the kids and sampling throughout the store. They make dozens of specialty gift baskets for the customers to buy and the town lines up to get them. They provided fire pits outside to keep everyone warm and then the highlight of the night was an hour-long firework show for the entire community. I have never seen such an enormous firework display. It was absolutely amazing! The Khoury’s are the most generous, kind people you will ever meet!”
