Saturday, March 20, 2021, many stores throughout Utah were overflowing with food donations from the community as part of the first annual Feed Utah food drive.

“Our store teams were so great in how they responded and adapted to the unexpected amount of donations that were coming in,” shared Ashlee Johnstun, Director of Customer Relations.

“They were pulling all empty boxes and filing grocery carts. It was a very busy day, but everyone was happy to pitch in.” Johnstun added.

Stores weren’t the only places food was being collected. On a rainy Saturday, Utahns from around the state showed up at collection sites like this one to make their donation.

The donated food will help feed the 511,000 Utahns struggling with food insecurity and the 1 in 5 kids who don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

Thank you to all our AFS members that participated!
