After many months of integration work, planning and building, Davis Food & Drug is the first retailer to launch a StoreFront Pro (SFP) site. This is a huge milestone, not only for the Davis team, but also for AFS as a total team.

The Davis team has been hard at work helping to get their site set up and train their team ahead of the launches. “It has been a lot of work, and we cannot be more excited for the launch,” said Alex Walker, Director of Operations for Davis Food & Drug. “We have had a good ecommerce business in place for many years now with Rosie; however, we can see how much more modern the StoreFront Pro experience is and we are excited to offer the new solution to the communities we serve.”

Behind the scenes, the AFS team has been working with Instacart to gather all the data and data feeds that are needed to run the sites. AFS has multiple teams involved, including IT, Retail Tech, Category Management, Advertising, Marketing and Pricing. Additionally, AFS has coordinated not just with Instacart, but also several other key technology partners, including RORC, BRdata, eCom Systems and Birdzi. “We truly appreciate the leadership demonstrated by Paul Pugh leading the technical side of the MC2 initiative. He has done a remarkable job keeping all of our partners aligned and on track throughout the initiative,” said Chad Cameron, vice president of technology at AFS.

The app is currently being tested and is scheduled to launch soon.

“I am grateful for the total team effort from our team, AFS, Instacart and everyone else who has been involved,” said CJ Davis, president of David Food & Drug. “We are incredibly excited about the partnership with Instacart and look forward to seeing how StoreFront Pro will help us grow our ecommerce business and stay relevant with today’s shoppers.”

While Davis is the first to launch, there are an additional eight retailers that will be launching sites over the next several weeks. Retailers can stay updated on StoreLink as sites come online. Additionally, AFS has started work on its second group of SFP retailers, as well as several retailers that will be moving forward with StoreFront sites.
