Celebrate Tater Tot Day with Exclusive Brand Deals

How many tots come in a 32 oz bag of Food Club Tots? Before answering that question, let’s learn a little bit more about one of America’s favorite ways to eat potatoes. Tater tots were invented in 1953 when American frozen food company Ore-Ida founders F. Nephi Grigg and Golden Grigg were trying to figure out what to do with leftover slivers of cut-up potatoes. They chopped up the slivers, added flour and seasoning, then pushed the mash through holes and sliced off pieces of the extruded mixture. Thus, Tater Tots came to be. The product was first offered commercially in stores in 1956. Today, Americans consume approximately 70,000,000 pounds of Tater Tots, or 3,710,000,000 tots per year.

The retail members of Associated Food Stores sell a good amount of these potato-based bites. To help AFS team members celebrate National Tater Tot day on February 3, the Exclusive Brands team is offering a great deal and a delicious recipe recommendation. Finally, to answer the initial question, each bag of Food Club tots contains approximately 93 tots. See below for deals and recipe details:
