Associated Food Stores will celebrate one of its most cherished traditions on new dates in 2026, with Lagoon Day events scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, and Saturday, July 18.
Lagoon Day has long been a hallmark of AFS culture, bringing together thousands of team members and their families for a day of fun, food and connection. For many, it’s both a wonderful amusement park outing and a visible reflection of the company’s commitment to its team and the family-focused values that have defined AFS for more than eight decades.
Each year, the event represents a significant investment by the company. AFS covers all-day ride passes and food for team members and eligible family members, ensuring the experience is accessible and enjoyable for as many families as possible. As costs to host large-scale events continue to rise locally and nationally, AFS leadership carefully plans and adjusts to preserve Lagoon Day as a lasting benefit for the team.
The 2026 date adjustment allows the company to better manage logistics, attendance and overall costs while continuing to deliver a high-quality experience. Leadership emphasized that the change reflects proactive planning and a desire to sustain the tradition long into the future.
“Lagoon Day is a meaningful benefit to our team members and a proud part of who we are,” said Tim Conner, senior vice president of team services. “It’s one of the ways we show appreciation for the hard work and dedication our teams give throughout the year.”
AFS leaders encourage team members to mark their calendars early and look forward to another summer of shared memories.
With Lagoon Day moving earlier in the summer, team members have a better opportunity to take advantage of a special offer. Single-day passports provided by Associated Food Stores can be upgraded to a 2026 Lagoon Season Passport, which includes unlimited rides, Lagoon-a-Beach, Frightmares and more. The value of the single-day passport will be applied toward the season passport. Upgrades must be completed at guest services on the day of the event.
