The ongoing Project ROAR warehouse modernization effort is moving swiftly, with all work cells now more than 90 percent complete both mechanically and electrically.
Product aisles are expected to be finished in less than two weeks, paving the way for commissioning to begin immediately afterward.
The project involves a significant workforce, with more than 100 installers from eight subcontractors contributing to various components of the build. Each worker is logging a minimum of 68 hours per week to keep the project on schedule.
“Thank you to all the installers, our incredible team and our retail partners for their patience and dedication during this busy time,” said Justin Johnson, vice president of distribution and logistics. “The amazing work is helping us modernize our operations and set the stage for a stronger future for Associated Food Stores.”
The modernization is part of an initiative to enhance operational efficiency and improve warehouse capabilities, with the team maintaining a rapid pace as the project heads toward completion.
