With scheduled tariff adjustments set to take effect August 1, Associated Food Stores is actively tracking developments and working closely with vendor partners to understand and manage potential impacts.

“Our number one priority is supporting our retailers and guests,” said Glen Ferguson, AFS’ tariff expert. “We’re staying in close contact with suppliers and monitoring the situation daily so we can respond quickly and effectively.”

While the full scope of the tariff changes is still unfolding, AFS leaders emphasized that teams across procurement, logistics, and merchandising are prepared to act quickly to mitigate disruptions and preserve value throughout the supply chain.

“We know tariff changes can create uncertainty, but we’re focused on maintaining consistency and keeping retailers informed about what’s happening in Washington,” said Sarah Pettit, director of public affairs. “Our teams are doing the work behind the scenes to keep our retailers informed and supported.”

AFS will continue to post updates to the Tariff Command Center on StoreLink to keep member retailers informed as the situation develops.
