When you think of your mental health, consider this: all of us have had a cold or felt run down physically because of life events. That doesn’t mean it is a permanent state or that we have a specific illness. We know that eating a balanced diet, exercising and maybe even taking vitamins can help us recover.

Defined by the World Health Organization, mental wellness is:

“a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.”
