Macey’s Grocery opens 16th location in Santaquin

Salt Lake City, UT (June 17, 2020) Macey’s is opening its 16th store, located at 110 North 400 East in Santaquin, Utah. Due to COVID-19, there will be a small grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony that the public is invited to view via Facebook Live on June 17 at 10 a.m. on Macey’s Facebook page.

The new Macey’s store is 45,000 square feet, keeping Macey’s tradition of offering a Happy Shopping experience, complete with classic Kong Kones®, Macey’s doughnuts, kid carts and quality products. This Macey’s location also offers one-of-a-kind features, with two Utah-owned in-store offerings, an Arctic Circle, a nostalgic fast food restaurant known for its delicious burgers, fries and shakes, as well as a Beans & Brews, a high-end coffee house, coming soon.

“We are thrilled to open the first grocery store in Santaquin,” said Terrel Seely, licensed owner of Macey’s Santaquin. “I am very proud and thankful for the many efforts to make this incredible store a reality. We look forward to meeting the needs of the community as a local, independent grocer, with the best quality products and the best, old-fashioned service around,” he said.

The Macey’s location features a large produce department, offering local produce, fresh-made salsa, fresh-cut fruits and vegetables with an expansive selection of fresh produce. The meat department touts a traditional butcher, cutting and grinding meat throughout the day with Certified Angus Beef®, Fog River seafood, premium pork and chicken with a large selection of cut meats, ready to go. The Macey’s bakery offers a scratch-made boutique bakery experience with an impressive assortment of pastries, cakes and eclairs, made-to-order or grab-and-go birthday cakes, cookies, and of course, classic Macey’s doughnuts. Macey’s delicatessen offers guests many quick, wholesome meals that families can enjoy when time is of the essence, in-store made sandwiches, fried chicken with all the fixings, slow-smoked meats, tender and juicy rotisserie chicken and more.

The store also offers Macey’s Anywhere, the store’s online shopping option with convenient curbside pickup and delivery.

The new Macey’s will be the second Associated Food Stores’ (AFS) licensed store meaning all business operations are performed in accordance with AFS policies and procedures, but the Terrel’s organization maintains ownership.

A 12,000-square-foot Ace Hardware, also owned by the Terrel’s organization, is just next door to Macey’s, offering the city of Santaquin a wide variety of products for their home improvement needs, including grills and smokers, lawn care, paint, and more.
